Review of The Terminal State

The Terminal StateJust in case you’ve been wondering if you should really buy #4 in the Cates series:

“The writing is witty and clever and Jeff Somers has Avery saying some of the best lines I’ve read in any book. The futility of the situation leads to lines that will just crack you up and make your day brighter. Just for an example of style, think of Jeff Somers as the love child of William Gibson and Douglas Adams. Now that is not bad company to be in at all.”

Hey, when is the ebook version coming out? And will I be able to purchase it at the Sony Reader Store?

Picked up the book last week finished it this morning after a bit of a wake bake. Couldn’t find the large paper back ver so it seems a bit out of place next to the other cates books. This one lives up to DP quality, but my favorite is still EC.

So Big Worm as a fan of the series Cate’s list is pretty fucking long. Can we expect some trimming in the future?

Picked up the book last week, this one is my favorite. What intigued me was the army augmentations. This book can clearly be made into a video game or movie.
    I really liked the book.

Telengard: I don’t know! I’ve asked and await a response. Sometimes publishers hold the eBook back thinking it’ll boost the paper sales, on which I think they make more $$$.

Smedley: There’ll be a trimming, but it might not be what you expect.

    Tramont: Thanks!

Now that I think of it to hell with the list. Cates needs to fall into something epic like EC and DP. He changed the world with those living on rail every fucking turn a boot in your face stories. It’s a character like cates that can keep you guessing on what hes going to do in a situation regardless of the impact.

Also liked how you brought back some old friends that only talked to Cates. I was starting to miss those old chats with Marin. Ever think of a Dick Marin novel?
